1. Escrow first
When a buyer or employer pays, SkillMart holds the Naira. Sellers and providers are not paid until you receive delivery or approve the job. If delivery is not received and you open a valid dispute, payout remains paused.
Refunds on SkillMart follow escrow: funds remain held until you receive delivery or a dispute outcome is confirmed.

When a buyer or employer pays, SkillMart holds the Naira. Sellers and providers are not paid until you receive delivery or approve the job. If delivery is not received and you open a valid dispute, payout remains paused.
Request a refund through the order dispute flow when:
Confirming delivery tells SkillMart you are satisfied and releases escrow to the seller. Do not confirm if you intend to dispute. SkillMart reviews, the seller responds, then we confirm a refund, release, or adjustment.
Job funds remain in escrow until you approve work (or the relevant milestone). If you raise a dispute, the job and escrow pause. A SkillMart dispute officer works the case in-app with both parties. Refunds or releases follow that confirmation.
Refunds that SkillMart confirms are returned through the same payment method used at checkout or job funding, where our payment partner allows it. Timing depends on your bank. Wallet and escrow screens in seller, provider, and employer dashboards show held versus released amounts.
